After returning to work, from my third maternity leave, I took the decision to reduce my hours and responsibility, therefore, enabling me to spend more time with my young family, but also to start up 'ARTsCOOL UK'.

Visiting moderator for A-Level Art and Design, visiting school across the South East ensuring National standards have been applied to students work.
GCSE Art and Design Moderator , Edexcel October 2004 – Present day
Visiting moderator for GCSE Art and Design where I apply the National standards to student work that has been submitted for GCSE. During my time as a moderator I have also had the opportunity to be an assistant team leader for Kent and East Sussex region.
Head of Creative Arts Faculty, Uplands Community College September 2015 – January 2017
As Head of Faculty my main objective was to share my strategies for success that I gained within the Art Department to gain a consistent approach to the Creative Arts across the whole college. I led teaching and learning across the faculty and had an overview of schemes of learning across all the Arts subjects. I have been managing staff in the performing Arts subjects and designing training needs and requirements of all staff within the faculty.
Head of Art and Design , Uplands Community College September 2006 – January 2017
During my 10 years as Head of Art and Design I have achieved an excellent reputation for Art and Design for the school. The department consistently achieves the best results in the school for GCSEs and A-levels. The Art curriculum expanded to offer photography and Fashion at key stage 4 and 5. I have been in charge of planning, delivering and resourcing exciting schemes of learning for key stage 3, 4 and 5. I work well to department budgets, I have mentored numerous teachers and student teachers within the department and worked with staff to deliver personal development training. I have introduced annual exhibitions and displays that are well regarded within the community. Together, we introduced the’ Arts Award’ scheme in the school to great success and worked closely with local colleges of further education as well as primary schools on Arts projects and Art teacher training.

Leader of GCSE and A-level Photography within the department, was acting Head of Art during a maternity leave. Head of key Stage 3 Art and Design curriculum.
